The university ranked 21st in Korea in the QS World University Ranking
9th in Korea, 126th in the world in Faculty/Students Ratio
According to the QS World University Rankings 2017, released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), UK agency that rates universities around the world, Hallym University ranked 21st in Korea, and 651-700 in the world. It is the only ranked university in Gangwon Province.

In terms of the Faculty/Student Ratio which evaluates education quality, Hallym University ranked 9th in Korea, 126th in the world. The rating agency evaluated the performances of 4,854 universities in the world according to the six metrics. The metrics included Academic Reputation (40%), Citations per Faculty (20%), Faculty/Student Ratio (20%), Employer Reputation (10%), International Student Ratio (5%) and International Faculty Ratio (5%).
Hallym University recently ranked 25th in Korea in the ‘2017 Leiden Ranking’, which is the world university rank that can measure university research power, and 26th in Korea in the ‘THE, Times Higher Education’.
Based on the new vision of the university, Hallym University attempts to make a change in education to cultivate core talents needed by the global society by; establishing Multidisciplinary Studies, Compulsory double Major and setting up a Global Interdisciplinary School.
