About the College of Business

Introduce
In the 21st century, mastering knowledge and information becomes the driving force behind the social development. Also globalization is occurring integrated with localization. In this rapidly changing environment, it is important to go back to the basics and educate students for them to acquire clear understanding about economic and business principles and apply these principles in diverse fields such as economics, finance, and business administration.

With such an objective, College of Business was formed in 2004 by separating Department of Business Administration, Department of Finance, and Department of Economics from the other fields in the College of Social Science. As an independent College, these three departments are supposed to make positive synergic effects in terms of education and research based on closely related academic disciplines. In fact, three departments collaborate in developing curriculums in each department to promote the balance between theory and practice. Double majoring is recommended to the students. Joint researches among professors in three departments are greatly encouraged.

The educational objective of College of Business is to endow students with the qualifications so that students can think critically and make reasonable decisions in their real life. In this way, our students become citizens and leaders of the globalized economy.
